The way of choosing energy chains


The most important criteria for selecting a suitable energy chain are the travel conditions and the types and quantities of cables that need to be pulled. There are two completely different applications to choose from:

1、Overhead use, only the energy section of the chain touches the ground.

2、Use for long-distance sliding within 300 meters. When used overhead, users can find out the maximum length by referring to the load table. The maximum length also depends on the filling weight and the length of the stroke.

Currently, the maximum length can reach 6 meters, which is equivalent to a stroke of 12 meters. Besides, when used overhead, cables with various different radi can be installed on site in a coordinated manner. When used for sliding, the design of the equipment requires good consultation. Special attention should be paid here to the selection of appropriate cables and the arrangement of the cables inside the chain. The following considerations can be regarded as good ideas: Each cable should be able to move freely during the bending process inside the chain. Many cables must be properly positioned with respect to each other so that adjacent cables do not get twisted. Arranging the cables horizontally and vertically can facilitate the implementation of this rule.


Usage characteristics of energy chains:

1. For pulling cables, the interior of the chain must be able to arrange cables both horizontally and vertically.

2. The structure of the energy chain is integrated, and there should be no parts that may be lost (such as split pins,external sliding tiles, screws, etc.).

3. For the convenience of installation, there should be at least one place on the chain or towing pipe that can be pried open.

4. When used outdoors, all materials are not sensitive to ultraviolet light.


Finally, there is a principle: When choosing an energy chain, "simple" is often "good". The fewer components this part of the machine has or the less complicated its structure is, the more sturdy and durable the Energy Chain will be, and the longer its service life will be.
